Government Defeat in Lords on Energy Bill [HL] Tuesday 26/04/2016 On 26/04/2016 the government had a defeat in the House of Lords on an amendment to the Energy Bill [HL]: To insist that new renewables obligation certificates may be issued after the current termination date of 31 March 2016 for onshore wind generating stations that had received planning permission for up to three months after 18 June 2015. This was defeat number 50 in the parliamentary session.
