Government Defeat in Lords
on Immigration Bill
Tuesday 26/04/2016
On 26/04/2016 the government had a defeat in the House of Lords on an amendment
to the Immigration Bill: To insist that the Secretary of State shall be required to
arrange to relocate to the UK and support unaccompanied refugee children from
Europe, but to specify that the number of children shall be determined in consultation
with local authorities.
This was defeat number 53 in the parliamentary session.
