Government Defeat in Lords on Housing and Planning Bill Wednesday 04/05/2016 On 04/05/2016 the government had a defeat in the House of Lords on an amendment to the Housing and Planning Bill: To insist to enable parish councils and neighbourhood forums to appeal against the granting of planning permission by local authorities for housing developments that conflict with existing neighbourhood plans, but conceding not to include emerging plans.
