She is the developer of the influential Roter Interaction Analysis System (RIAS), which has been used in over 150 studies world-wide. The seminar will explore dialogue sequence and turn taking from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives; and a new approach to conceptualising and interpreting the structure of medical dialogue. There are opportunities for a limited number of one-to-one meetings with Professor Roter after the seminar (1:30pm to 3:00pm), but you need to book early.
