Introduction
NIC, Lahaul Spiti is the highest centre of Himachal Pradesh situated at an altitude of
3350 meters (10,988 feet). The district remains covered with snow for a great part of
the year and it cut off from the adjoining areas for about 6 months (Oct-May) every
year and temperature fall to –20 degree Celsius in winters. Though the district is a
tribal area, the ICT infrastructure available is in tune with the latest technology.
e-Udaan (Flight Management System) in Winter Season:The web based Software for Helicopter Application Management System is
going to implement at the various stations i.e. DC Office Keylong, SDM Office Keylong
and DC office Kullu. The system is very useful for the District Administration during
the winter period for the reservation of seats in the flights in the winter season. This is
the only means of transportation during winter months when no other mode of
transportation is available to the officials and residents of the district.
Silent Features of e-Udaan software are as follows:Online/Offline Submission of Application for reservation in flight.
Generation of Challans for the ticket amounts collected.
Generation of Registered Applicants list.
Flights scheduled can be monitored and re-scheduled.
Automate the allotment of seats in scheduled flight as per the rule.
Real Time stats about Registered, Pending, Availed, Cancelled passenger.
Reports for pending applications, allotted seats, cancelled applications.
Advance Search is available with Applicant id, Adhaar No., Date of Birth.
User friendly repository interface for the future reference.
Jeewan Praman Digital Life Certificate:The Jeewan praman Digital life certificate is implemented at Treasury Office,
Keylong and Udaipur.Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric enabled digital service for
pensioners. Pensioners of Central Government, State Government or any other
Government organization can take benefit of this facility. This very requirement of
personally being present in front of disbursing agency or getting a life certificate often
becomes a major hurdle in the process of seamless transfer of pension amount to the
pensioner. This hurdle has been overcome using this software.

CMS based District Website:The official website of District Lahaul & Spiti (http://hplahaulspiti.nic.in) is
recently developed on Content Management System (CMS). It is designed & developed as a
one-point-source to provide information related to district i.e. History, culture, temples,
tourist places and citizen services etc. Citizens can get to know Lahaul & Spiti better by
visiting the official website of the District at http://hplahaulspiti.nic.in. It contains
important information for the tourists planning to visit this remote district, including
route maps, destinations, accommodation, trekking and other adventure tourism
activities, information for foreign tourists, etc. The website also has relevant egovernance
related information for the citizens residing in the District.

Internet Connectivity and Video Conference facility:Two NIC VSAT systems are established at DC Office Keylong and ADC Office
Kaza, which are otherwise cut-off during the winter months from each other too. The

Conferencing,
Internet/Email
services
provided
by
NIC
addresses
the
communication issues as it is the only reliable means of communication in winter
months. This is very useful in smooth organizing of schedule Video Conferences to the
district administration as well as to the various departments of the district.
Beside this VAHAN, SARATHI in all RLAs, Land Record computerization system
(HimBhoomi,HimRis) in all tehsils, eKalyan and ePahchan in welfare department and CIPA,
cForm under IVFRT Project and Kanoon Vyavsatha of Police department, eGazette,
MyDiary App etc projects are also implemented and functioning in the district.
