Sir,
I am directed to invite your attention to this Department/s,
letters dated 30-09-1977 and 03-03-1997 on the subject cited above
which
contain
detailed
procedure
for . recognition
of
general
academic/technical!non-technical degree/diplomas for tbe purpose of
recruitment under the State Government. Subsequently the Education .
Department has constituted State Level Board of Equivalence Committee
!
vide n<?tiflcatlon dated 18th November, 2011 with the function to give its

recognition
and
de-recognition
of
Degree/Diploma/Certificate awarded by any University or Board to

streamline the process of recognition and to avoid. delay in deciding such
matters. As a corollary to above, all matters relating to recognition of
general academic/te£hnical/rion-technical
degree/diploma/certificate are

being examined by the State Level Board' of Equivalence Committee,
under the department of Education and there is no role of Department of
Personnel in examining or imparting advice with regard to above matter.

requested that all matters regarding
recognition of degree/diploma/certificate/equivalence etc. may be taken
