in consultation with the advisor. With the advisor’s permission, a
student may:
• Select a suite of courses (totaling 24 credits) that enhance the
student’s expertise in one area. Courses may be drawn from
Humanities as well as other departments.
• Earn a 21-credit Writing or Media Certificate and count up to 12
credits in the concentration. (The remaining nine credits of the
certificate may be counted in the “major requirements” section
