Fitness Programming Administrative Intern Unpaid 300 Hours (1 semester) The Fitness Programming Administrative Intern will assist the Studio Coordinator with the administration of Michigan Tech Recreation programs and maintenance of the SDC Studio. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Partial management of Recreation’s social media platforms. Assist with SDC Studio facilities management, including equipment cleaning and inventory. Organize and distribute Recreation and Community Programs marketing materials. Assist in developing new student­based marketing campaigns. Manage and catalog Recreation customer survey responses. Assist with the preparation and facilitation of monthly Community Programs Instructor Meetings. Represent Michigan Tech Community Programs at on and off campus events. Intern will report directly to the Studio Coordinator. Possible opportunities to shadow a fitness instructor, assist with fitness workshops, or organize and/or teach a specialty health/fitness class or workshop based on skill, experience and interest. Youth Dance Program Administrative Intern Unpaid 300 Hours (1 semester) 600 Hours (2 consecutive semesters) The Youth Dance Program Administrative Intern will assist the Youth Dance Program Coordinator with the administration of the Michigan Tech Youth Dance Program. Assist in the creation of new marketing and outreach initiatives. Organize and distribute Youth Dance Program marketing materials. Partial management of the Youth Dance Program’s social media platforms. Attendance of on and off campus events. The Youth Dance Program Administrative Intern will report directly to the Youth Dance Program Coordinator. Requirements: Preferred Position Requirements: 10­15 office hours per week (semi­flexible schedule.) Interest in pursuing a career in a health, wellness, child care, education, or fitness/arts management field. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents. Strong organizational skills.
