Services include. • • • • • • • • • Crisis Intervention Short-Term Crisis Counseling Information & Referrals Group Support Personal Protection Order Victim Compensation Information Court Accompaniment Legal Advocacy Medical Advocacy Victim Services Cont……. • Victim Services Unit and the Sexual Assault Response Team: (866) 661-5589 – Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)- Advocate on call 24/7 to respond to sexual assault victims – Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE)- Forensically trained nurse that conducts Sexual Assault Exams –Up to 96 hours post assault Substance Abuse Services • Alcohol Highway Safety (AHS) – is an educational program for individuals who are court ordered to attend for motor vehicle offenses of driving while impaired or driving under the influence. There are two classes, four hours each, in this program. These are scheduled approximately every other month. There is a $100 fee for this program. Community Education Courses • Anger Management is a 12 week anger course. The course is $180 per person in a class of 2 or more, and $300 for an individualized class. Affordable payment arrangements can be made. Anger Management is an Evidence Based Practice. • Domestic Abuse Intervention Program (DAIP) – Dial Help offers a 27 week Domestic Violence Intervention Program based on the “Duluth Model” This program is for Men who batter women. The cost is $570. Affordable payment arrangements can be made. The Duluth Model is recognized nationally and internationally as the leading tool to help communities eliminate violence in the lives of women and children. • ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) – ASIST is the most widely used suicide intervention skills training in the world. ASIST is a comprehensive two day training. Dial Help is certified to provide ASIST Training. ASIST training is CEU eligible, please share that you would like your ASIST Training to be eligible for CEU’s when scheduling the training. • Presentations and trainings on sexual violence, domestic/dating violence, human trafficking , etc. can be provided on campus, in the community, and to professionals (human services, police, prosecutors). Safety Net Program • Designed for people in the U.P. who are dealing with one or more of the following: - Suicide risk (having thoughts of suicide) - Complex crisis (multiple issues going on at once) - Suicide bereavement (loss of a loved one, friend, co-worker, etc to suicide) • Specially trained Dial Help staff can contact individuals in the program via phone or text and offer support until the person is able to make their first appointment with a professional for on-going care. Individuals age 14+ are older are eligible, or under 14 with parental consent. • This support can include: - Emotional support - Assessment of mood and situation - Developing a plan to keep you safe - Connecting to community resources
