We cannot offer fortune and glory… But perhaps a modicum of fame and the satisfaction of contributing to the industry. Put your knowledge into, and your name onto, the 1st Operations Management Good Practice Guide. We are looking for people to join our five Task Teams: Good Practice Guide Task Team Team Leader: Mr. Giuseppe Ravizzini of Recordati S.p.A “Driving the Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industries towards Excellence in Manufacturing, Supply and Quality” ravizzini.g@recordati.it Mission: “Oversee and manage the content creation, and revision, for inclusion into the good practice guide “Pharmaceutical Operations Management Guide”. The following Task Teams will be responsible for generating the content of the Guide: Performance Indicators Task Team Team Leader: Mr. Giuseppe Ravizzini of Recordati S.p.A. ravizzini.g@recordati.it Mission/Focus/Activities: Data collection; Performance (KPI) relevance, measurement, analysis, reporting and communication. Improvement Tools Task Team Team Leaders: Mr. James Curry of OpStat Group Inc. and Mr. James McKiernan of McKiernan Associates JimCurry@OpStat.com and jim@mckiernan.ch Mission/Focus/Activities: Identifying and disseminating information on best practices in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous improvement, Technology Management, Information Systems, Design for Manufacturing, and Culture Change. Operations Strategy Task Team Team Leader: TBD Mission/Focus/Activities: Discuss, analyze and better understand the main topics addressed to top management of pharmaceutical manufacturing organizations, such as: the role of manufacturing in the global market, strategy setting and implementation, multi-site organization, HR, training and career management, Job evaluation, MBO, etc. Supply Chain Task Team Team Leader: Mr. Dennis Stamm of CH2M Hill dennis.stamm@ch2m.com Mission/Focus/Activities: Identifying and sharing best practice associated with manufacturing and supply strategies, Improving supply chain performance and supply chain optimization. In addition to generating content for the Good Practice Guide, the Task Teams create articles for Pharmaceutical Engineering and ISPE internet publications, such as the Monthly ISPE Informer, E-letters and ispeak.
