UVIS TEAM MEETING 27-29 June 2011 Boulder Minutes and Action Items Cassini and UVIS continue to be healthy. UVIS is operating well. Next year may be tighter financially as the Cassini Project funding continues to contract. The decreased activity means fewer dollars, meetings and telecoms. Cassini is now preparing for the next “Senior Review” in 2012. This will determine the amount of continued activity and funding. This fall, NASA will select new “Participating Scientists” to add to the program. UVIS is active with observations and analysis. Soon we will carry out the double star occultation by Enceladus (19 Oct.) and resume ring occultations as we enter the next inclined phase in Jan 2012. The team continues to make presentations at conferences and write papers, which the Project Science office tracks closely. We continue development of the UVIS User’s Guide. We plan to submit it soon. The next team meetings are 5-7 January (Cal-Tech, Pasadena) and 18-20 June (Braunschweig) 2012.
