Coleman Library Room 108 College Student Self-Efficacy Research Studies Mentoring African American Males: A Research Design Comparison Study The Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling is pleased to announce a book launch for Drs. Terence Hicks, Michael McFrazier, and William Ross. The book launch is a major accomplishment that highlights the significant work that professors in the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling are having on a national level. Five books have been published by departmental faculty from 2013-2014. The book launch will feature a 10-15 minute overview of Drs. Hicks and McFrazier’s recently released book, College Student Self-Efficacy Research Studies and Dr. William Ross recently released book, Mentoring African American Males: A Research Design Comparison Perspective. Drs. Hicks and McFrazier’s book received a glowing review from Dr. Fred Bonner, Samuel DeWitt Proctor Chair of Education at Rutgers University. Dr. Bonner highlights the significant contribution the book will have on a national level writing, “What Hicks and McFrazier offer in this critically important time not only adds to the empirical research literature on self-efficacy among Black college student cohorts, but also situates while at the same time foregrounds the relevance of efficacious behaviors for these cohorts in a diverse array of higher education contexts.
