ITS Outage Notification
Purpose: This notification is designed to provide effective and timely communications to the users of
critical IT services at PVAMU during maintenance periods and outages.
VoIP Telephone upgrade outage and change freeze: ITS will be conducting the final part of the VoIP
Telephone upgrade during the ITS maintenance window on Sunday, March 7, 7 AM to Noon. This will
result in a temporary loss of all VoIP Telephone service on main campus, Nursing and Northwest.
In support of this upgrade, the Telephone Office will be placing a freeze on all changes to the VoIP
system starting on February 27. This includes any and all changes, for example name changes, new
numbers, new voicemail, and changes to existing numbers or voicemail. This does not include voicemail
password resets.
