Masterclass: Advancing Practice in Hypermobility This masterclass brings together a team of national and internationally recognised clinical specialists and researchers to deliver lectures and facilitate workshops Who is the masterclass for? Medical, allied health and exercise professionals who wish to extend their knowledge and advance their clinical practice in the assessment and management of children and adults with a range of impairments and functional associated with joint hypermobility, Hypermobility Syndrome/ Ehlers Danlos Syndrome-Hypermobility Type (JHS/EDSHT) and the more commonly recognised co-existing conditions When is it? Be able to recognise and differentially diagnose joint hypermobility, JHS/ EDS-HT and the more common co-existing conditions in children and adults 2. Be able to apply advanced clinical reasoning skills in the assessment, triage and management of hypermobility, JHS/ EDS-HT and co-existing conditions in the context of the evolving evidence base and contemporary theory 3. Appreciate client centred strategies and techniques to manage pain, fatigue, anxiety, depression and to facilitate motivation and behaviour change in children and adults with JHS/ EDS-HT and co-existing conditions 4. Be able to select and justify suitable outcome measures aligned to the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health Framework 5.
