Cube Generator Update

Update since January, 2012 meeting
• Uploaded new version of cube generator that
accepts pds data files
• Discussion with beta testers of cube generator
has illuminated the need for additional detail
in the users guide
• Need to establish procedure for updates to
cube generator chapter in users guide
• Put in new variable (angle between ram
direction and Sun vector)
Beta testing
• Questions raised by users illuminated areas in the
cube generator chapter that could use a little
more detail
• One example is a better description for uploading
spice kernels
• Another example is a better description of
coordinate systems
• Is there a procedure for editing the UVIS user’s
guide?
New variable
• Last team meeting Joe Ajello requested the ram-sun
angle
• This is the angle between a vector from body center to
the leading edge of the body and the vector to the
body center to the Sun
• I first modified geometer to do this
• Now I have put geometer back to its original form and
derived this angle outside of geometer (but within
cube generator)
• I will upload a new version of cube generator in the
next few days
