Membership: Grants would be a sub-committee to Fuels Fuels membership: FS, BLM, BIA, NPS, FWS, WDNR, ODF – 1 each o Grants membership: FS, BLM, ODF, WDNR – 1 each (could be same person as on Fuels) o Grants would process and prioritize the NFP grants solicited to R6 & then take to Fuels for approval to carry forward to PNWCG Total Fuels membership: could be 7 up to 11 members Working Teams, i.e. GIS, Prevention + specialists would be brought in as needed in a support role to Fuels. 2. Charters: reworked the Grants charter into the Fuels charter – Leanne to work up for approval at next Fuels meeting; then carry forward to PNWCG Meeting. Discussion on quorum for making decisions: o Adopting the snooze you lose approach; depending on the issue before the group, 1. decisions will be made with group present or 2. if mutually agreed upon, will be carried forward in minutes or via other contact, for group concensus. o Members should delegate a stand in where possible. 2. Future Meeting Dates: Tuesday, 15 Dec, 09, 0900 at PNWCG Invite Dale from GIS WT Bring munchies if ya wanna 2. Chair: (After much arm twisting), Leanne Mruzik agreed to remain chair for 1 more year. 2. Tabled discussion on different pots of monies where fuels work is being done (TARP, HFI, NFP Grants for R6, Western States Grants, ARRA, ???). Goal would be to map and portray where all the pots of $ are going that treat fuels (& meet NFP goals) and be able to influence and show how prioritized. 3. Grant cycles: Grants sub-committee (Grants SC) will consist of Darrel, Jenn & Lauren (all 3 probably short term & moving on) + FS rep for now. Grants SC will set up a conference call to discuss how to handle the 2011 Grant Cycle process & scheduling. FY2010 Grants already selected. Grants SC will update the calendar scheduling & implementation mechanics under new SC. Block Grants – some discussion (ODF would coordinate at state level, but wouldn’t coordinate at CWPP level), but no consensus or recommendations. WDNR prioritizes grants submitted thru the R6 NFP process by region, then at state level & then put forward list to Grants thru PNWCG. ODF collects all proposals from throughout state & has a panel do a state wide prioritization. 4. Communication strategy: Pam Ensley got what she wanted to take back to the next PNWCG meeting: #2 Membership & #2 Next Fuels meeting date (scheduled prior to PNWCG meeting so that results can be passed forward to PNWCG. 5. Interactions with GIS: Invite Dale from GIS WT 6. West Side RA – to discuss at next meeting under Agenda #4. Agency process implementation of fuels projects. Next meeting agenda: 1.
