Xavier offers BS degree programs in the areas of Accounting, Finance,
Management, and Sales & Marketing.
™ INTERNSHIPS
Opportunities are available to all business students to obtain internships during
their undergraduate studies. The Summer Internship for Academic Credit
Program is intended to encourage students to obtain the professional experience
needed to make them more marketable and better prepared to start their
professional career and/or graduate program. Most of the internships pay a
competitive salary.
In summer 2007, more than 20 business students completed internships at various
private and governmental organizations. Whitney Brown did his internship at
Federal Reserve System in Washington, D.C. Here is what he has to say about his
internship experience:
“I spent my summer as an intern with the
Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve
System in Washington, D.C. With my Xavier
education, I successfully completed a project
pertaining to commercial real estate loans
and the capital management of bank holding
companies.”
™ CAREER SERVICES OFFICE
The Office of Career Services helps students in obtaining internships and
permanent job placements. They assist students with resume preparation,
interviewing skills, evaluating internship/job offers, and securing the job of their
choice by working with students on a one-on-one basis.
