الموت واالحتظار 1- Full and thorough examination 2- parental presence during the procedure of resuscitation is becoming increasingly common, so a member of staff must be exclusively available for their support. 3- once the patient has been certified dead do not keep the parent waiting in false hope. 4- A direct and sympathetic approach is best, if you feel comfortable doing it you can show sympathy by holding the parent’s hand or putting an arm around them. 5- If you are asked about the cause of death , answer as simply and honestly as you can. 6- it is very important to write a list of procedures done to the child during resuscitation. 7- Encourage the family to spend time , touching and holding their dead child. 8- respect the dead child, wrap him/ her with clean clothes. 9- Explain that the child “ use name” has died. 10- Get as full history as possible. 11- Let them know if a postmortem examination needs to be carried out. 12- Be gentle, Unhurried, Calm and Careful. 13- do not guess the diagnosis. 14- “ IF YOU ARE CLEVER SHIFT TO THE OTHER” IS A FALSE BELIEF….
