It combin es ch emical, ph ysical an d osmotic stability with th e capability of reversibly adsorbin g large organ ic molecules. IMAC H P661 is design ed to produce ( in combin ation with IMAC H P1110 Na or AMBERLITE SR1L Na) partially demin eralised water for food processin g. Such water will be free from cation s ( Ca 2+, Mg2+, Na +, K+) an d stron g an ion s ( Cl–, SO 42–, NO 3–) . It can subsequen tly be blen ded with un treated water in order to ach ieve th e required level of total dissolved solids. Th e exh austed IMAC H P661 can be regen erated with dilute caustic soda solution . Every batch of IMAC H P661 is an alysed to en sure its complian ce with h igh purity specification s, in particular : IMAC H P661 is ready to use* : all th at is required at th e time of commission in g is to perform a full regen eration cycle followed by a rin se with at least 20 bedvolumes of water. Th is is valid on ly if : • Ph ysical an d ch emical properties, • In dividual release of certain substan ces in th e treated water, • Global release of organ ic substan ces expressed in TO C ( Total O rgan ic Carbon ) , • Total microbial coun t. 1. 2. th e resin is stored at a temperature of less th an 25°C an d protected from UV radiation s, th e storage time between production date ( prin ted on th e bags) an d fin al use does n ot exceed 6 mon th s. All our products are produced in ISO 9002 certified man ufacturin g facilities. AMBERJET is a trademark of Rohm and Haas Company and its affiliates, Philadelphia, U.S.A. Ion exchange resins and polymeric adsorbents, as produced, contain by-products resulting from the manufacturing process. The user must determine the extent to which organic by-products must be removed for any particular use and establish techniques to assure that the appropriate level of purity is achieved for that use. The user must ensure compliance with all prudent safety standards and regulatory requirements governing the application. Except where specifically otherwise stated, Rohm and Haas Company does not recommend its ion exchange resins or polymeric adsorbents, as supplied, as being suitable or appropriately pure for any particular use. Consult your Rohm and Haas technical representative for further information. Acidic and basic regenerant solutions are corrosive and should be handled in a manner that will prevent eye and skin contact. Nitric acid and other strong oxidising agents can cause explosive type reactions when mixed with Ion Exchange resins. Proper design of process equipment to prevent rapid buildup of pressure is necessary if use of an oxidising agent such as nitric acid is contemplated. Before using strong oxidising agents in contact with Ion Exchange Resins, consult sources knowledgeable in the handling of these materials.
