Adesta Expands Operations by Opening Office
in Chattanooga, TN
New office necessary to meet growing demand for Telecommunications and Smart Grid
infrastructure in the region
OMAHA, Neb. (December 16, 2009) – Adesta, LLC, a systems integrator and project management

expanded its footprint and opened a new office in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The office was set up to
provide service and support to Adesta’s customer EPB, which is a municipally-owned power utility
company serving over 168,000 customers in Chattanooga and surrounding areas of Tennessee and
Georgia. The expansion is also needed to support the company’s continuing growth in
telecommunications and Smart Grid programs.
In May of 2009, Adesta was awarded multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts to provide network
deployment and customer fulfillment services for EPB, Chattanooga, TN. Adesta is performing a variety of
services to facilitate the EPB smart grid initiatives, communications and entertainment services to their
residential and commercial customers in the greater Chattanooga metropolitan area.
Once completed, EPB’s fiber to the home network will be the largest municipally owned fiber optic
network in the United States. The all-fiber optic infrastructure provides communications for the electric
distribution system’s Smart Grid, which will help offset the rising cost of energy for customers, keep
electricity as reliable and efficient as possible and provide more options for customers to manage their
energy use.
