1. Call to Order
• Meeting was called to order at 12:05 PM.
2. Appointment of the Speaker
• MOVED to appoint Michael Jones as Speaker for this meeting.

3. Appointment of the Secretary

4. Approval of Minutes
• No changes to the minutes from October 5, 2012 were suggested.

5. Interdisciplinary Halloween Social (Friday October 26, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Chemistry

The Social Coordinator (Cekic) updated the Caucus about her meeting with Peg
Johnsen and her discussion with security. The Caucus is allowed to hold the
event on the same night as the SFSS Pub event.
Potential servers are Nevena Cekic, Michael Jones, and Danielle Wilson. The
Caucus will see if anyone from the MBB Caucus is able to serve.
Selling Prices:
Alcoholic Beverages: $2
Nonalcoholic Beverages: $1
Pizza: $1
Tentative Budget:
The Chemistry Caucus will contribute $200 and the MBB Caucus will
match this.
10 Pizzas ($130)
Chips, Halloween Candy and Fruit Trays (2) - ($75)
Keg ($150)
60 Bottles of Ciders/Coolers/Beers ($150)
Decorations ($30)
Total $535 cost before anticipated revenues. The Caucus will need to
revisit this budget in order to discuss purchase of non-alcoholic
beverages and pumpkins, as these were not included above.
The Caucus will email Peg Johnsen any advertisements sent out.
The President (Jones) will discuss the purchase of a keg with the Vice-President
(Belan) via email, and will contact Club Ilia about a gift card as a prize for a
pumpkin carving contest.
6. Poster Competition Reimbursements
• Reimbursements will be done through the Chemistry Department. The Caucus
will discuss this further at the next meeting.
7. Conclusion
• MOVED to conclude the meeting.
