Boullosa
Carmen Boullosa is an internationally acclaimed Mexican writer
who lives in New York. She has won the Xavier Villaurrutia prize in
Mexico and Spain’s Café Gijón Prize. Three of her books are available in English translation—They’re Cows, We’re Pigs (1991), Leaving
Tabasco (2002), and Cleopatra Dismounts (2003). Boullosa co-hosts
Nueva York, an Emmy Award-winning television series in the US.
She will deliver a special lecture to mark the visit of Edouard Manet’s
The Execution of The Emperor Maximilian to the Mead Gallery.
