In addition to, the students’ activities will take place on 21st – 27th March 2015. The workshop will bring scientists and engineers working in water science and applications to discuss the major issues related to water and sustainable development. The Water Research Center is looking for this event to enlighten the national, and perhaps international community with respect to water issues and their role in the sustainable development. The one-day workshop will bring together stakeholders, experts and decision makers to discuss and assess the national & international water and sustainable development issues and to prospect potential recommendations and solutions. There will be no registration fees. The registered participants will receive certificates, workshop publications, bags, luncheon, tea and coffee. Dr. Klingbeil is a principal adviser for water and environmental with extensive experience in environmental and water policy advice and management in the Middle East and Africa. Dr. Klingbeil has particular experience in water resources assessments and management plans, water and especially groundwater protection schemes, integrated water and land resources management, contaminated land investigations for the location of landfills and waste deposits, environmental impact assessments. Dr. Jeffrey Layton Ullman Asst. Professor, Dept. of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, University of Florida. Dr. Ullman will be involved as external collaborator participant from the United States. Dr. Ullman is an asst. professor in Agricultural and Biological Engineering with a research/extension appointment that focuses on water quality. His work involves the development and evaluation of agricultural best management practices, & has a particular emphasis on irrigation management in regards to water quality. A core component of his research involves examination of trace organic contaminants in the environment that present a human and ecological health risk. Building upon his research on estrogen contamination generated by livestock operations, Dr. Ullman focuses his advanced research on antibiotics and other pharmaceuticals in the environment.
