Three years and 30 days to complete requirements of F1. Make sure you don’t hold PR unless you are in an F1 programme. If you stop or put your F1 on hold – relinquish your registration. Can junior doctors work in any F1 post while holding provisional registration? a)Yes b) No Overseas F1 training You must have the following in place before going: Allocated place on foundation programme Prior approval from your medical school Prior approval from your postgraduate dean Hold provisional registration with the GMC If you don’t you won’t be entitled to full registration on your return to the UK.
