BRIEF BIOGRAPHY
Lara Hilton was educated at UC Berkeley in Sociology (Honors, Phi Beta Kappa) and attained an
MPH at UC Los Angeles School of Public Health. She has been with RAND since 2000 working in
the Research Programming Group specializing in combining quantitative and qualitative data
analysis methods using SAS programming and computer-aided qualitative data analysis (Atlas.ti).
Her specialty area is health policy including program evaluation, complementary and alternative
medicine, emergency preparedness, substance abuse, patient decision-making, and systematic
literature reviews/meta analysis.
