• Worked as an Alumni officer for awhile updating records of graduates of
the department. I have organized the alumni gathering held in November
19th, 2014.
Research Interest: Pure Mathematics specially Coding Theory, Discrete Mathematics, Combinatorics and Semigroup Theory.
In my PhD thesis, I studied classes of quaternary codes defined by a pair of
binary codes. Binary codes are used in practice. Using a mapping called the
Gray map, we can map quaternary codes to binary codes. So studying classes
of quaternary codes might lead us to better binary codes. Currently I working
on generalizations to the results obtained about quaternary codes.
Funded Research Projects:
• An internal Grant (2013-2015) on ”On Semigroups of Partial Isometries
of a Finite Chain”.
• TRC research project approved summer 2013 on ”Studies in Semigroups
of Contraction Mappings of a Finite Chain”.
