6.I delivered a talk entitled” Prey-predator interaction models where prey are of small
size and suppress breeding at the time of heavy predation’’ in a workshop organized for
the collaboration of SQU Dept. of Mathematics faculty with Cambridge university
researchers,2011.
7.I attended and International Congress of Mathematics 2010 on Mathematics in
Science and Technology in N.Delhi,India,14-17 August. In this conference I delivered a
talk entitled” Predator – prey relations for mammals where prey suppress breeding“.
8.I attended CSEB/APHEO joint conference in Ottawa, Canada, 25 – 28 May,
2009. The theme of the conference was expanding horizon in epidemiology
from research into practice. This was a specialized conference mainly devoted
to epidemiology. I delivered a talk in the session entitled” Environmental and
Occupational epidemiology”. The topic of the talk was “Eco – Epidemiological
model of Salton -sea a realistic approach.
9.I attended the IASTED International Conference on Modelling and
Simulation May26 – 28,2008 in Quebec, Canada. The International Association
of Science and Technology for development hosted the above mentioned
conference. The purpose of the conference was to promote economic
development through science and technology. In this conference I presented
a paper entitled” Birds, Rabbits and Cats interaction model with switching
strategy of opportunistic cats’’.

1. I had a two years research grant( Account No. IG/SCI/DOMS/01/03) financed
by SQU for the research project entitled ‘’ Prey-predator models with group
defense’’.
Outcome of the research: We published three research papers in
International refereed journals .Please see # 9,10 and 12 of the publication
list.
2. I had a two years research grant ( Account No. IG/SCI/DOMS/03/05) from
SQU for the research project entitled ‘’ The stage- structured predator-prey
model with predatory switching and optimal harvesting’’.
Outcome of the research: We published our research work as a chapter in
the book. Please see publication list in the section chapter in a book.
3. I was holding a research grant (Account No.IG/SCI/DOMS/05/05) from SQU
for the research project entitled, ”Eco – Epidemiological Models of Salton
Sea”. I visited Department of Statistics and Modelling Science, University of
Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland, U.K. for the period 11th January – 22nd
January, 2006 to pursue collaborative work with Prof. David Greenhalgh on
Prey – Predator mathematical models of Salton Sea. During my visit I got the
opportunity to interact with the various members of the department.
Outcome of the research: We published two research papers. One in the
proceeding of the conference# 3 and second accepted for publication # 2
(Publication list).
4. I was holding a research grant(Account No. IG/SCI/DOMS/07/04) from SQU
for the research project entitled” Mathematical Modelling of The Pulsatile
Release of Hormones of The Hypothalmus, The Pituitary and The Testis”.
Prof. David Greenhalgh from the university of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland,
U. K. visited DOMAS, from 8sept.2007 to 23rd Sept.2007 for the collaborative
research work in this project. I also visited university of strathclyde to
complete my project since 23rd Aug. – 2nd Sept., 2008.
Outcome of the research: We published two research papers in
international journals in this project. Please see # 6 and 8 of the publication
list.
5. I had a research grant code number (IG/SCI/DOMS/09/10) financed by S.Q.U.
for the research project entitled” Superpredator, Mesopredator and prey
interaction models and strategies to protect prey population”. Prof. David
Greenhalgh from the university of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland, U. K.

visited DOMAS, from 14thjuly, 2009 to 29thjuly, 2009 for the collaborative
research work in this project. I visited Department of Mathematics and
Statistics, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow for the period 4th june2010 to
18thjune 2010 inclusive to conduct joint research with Dr. David Greenhalgh
in Mathematical Biology.
Outcome of the research: We published two research papers. One in an
International journal and second in the proceeding of an international
conference. Please see # 5 (publication list) and # 2 (Conference papers).
6. I am holding a research grant with project No. (IG/SCI/DOMS/11/05) financed
by SQU for the research project entitled’’ The dynamics of predator-prey
models with disease in the prey’’. Project is in progress.
 Co-investigator:
1. I was a co-investigator in a research project entitled ‘’ Group invariant solutions
of differential equations’’ with Prof. E. V. Krishnan as a principal investigator. We
started the project in Feb. 1998.
2. I was a co-investigator in a research project number( IG/SCI/DOMS/01/06)
entitled ‘’ Lie group of transformations for shallow water wave equations’’ with
Prof. E. V. Krishnan as a principal investigator.
 International Collaboration:
1. New Zealand: My work with Prof. G. C. Wake ,University of Christchurch
initiated when he visited S.Q.U. as an external examiner. This has led to one
journal paper in Bull. Math. Biol.
2. U.K.: We have started joint work with Prof. G. D. Ruxton, University of
Glasgow. One joint journal paper has been published.
3. U.K.: We are involved in joint work with Dr. David Greenhalgh, university of
Strathclyde, Glasgow on epidemic models, HIV models and Hormones
models. Six journal articles have appeared and one is under preparation.
4. Egypt : We have done joint work with Prof. A. F. Ghaleb, university of Cairo.
One joint journal paper has been published from this work.

5. Trinadad and Swaziland: We have done joint work with Prof. B. S. Bhatt,
university of West Indies and Dr. R. Jaju, university of Swaziland. We have
published nine research journal papers.
6. India: I am collaborating on a project entitled “ Long term dynamics in a
mathematical model of HIV-1 infection with delay in different variants of the
basic drug therapy model’’ with Dr. Priti Kumar Roy, Amernath Chatterjee,
Center of Mathematical Biology and Ecology, Dept. of Mathematics, Jadavpur
University, Kolkata, India and Prof. David Greenhalgh Dept. of Statistics and
