As the In Charge of the unit, am responsible for the continuation development of CAARU which includes organizing, managing and administrating the function of the unit. In addition to Collaborating with existing staff in CoS , SQU and the wider scientific community in research and industry. Am responsible of a wide range of instrumentation that serves different applications like environmental, medical, oil and gas industries and many others. Areas of Experience: Application Specialist (Mass Spectrometer) 2006-Present My role in CAARU is to design and implement specialist applications for Mass Spectrometer and related techniques for the analysis of small molecules within the field of Pharmaceutical Analysis, Environmental Monitoring, Natural Products and Protein/Peptide research. I have now become fluent in using many application managers for Mass Spectrometry to cover a high level of research and development. Areas of Experience: Sultan Qaboos University 2001- 2010 Department of Biology, Senior Technician Areas of Experience: I was employed as a senior technician covering the running of labs for undergraduate research/teaching, post-graduate research projects and supporting academic research. I was also responsible for teaching and training staff members and students in proteomics. Additional Skills and Capabilities I design and conduct training courses and workshops on HPLC-MS for candidates outside as well as inside the SQU. Am also coordinating and running M.Sc. course for Biology students, mainly in topics related to Proteomics and Mass Spectroscopy instrumentation.
