Granting Permission to Add for Waitlisted Students Remember! Let the waitlist “do its thing.” •This process is for AFTER the class begins. Granting Permission to Add Waitlisted Students –When you grant permission for students who are on your waitlist, the class capacity will be overridden. Access WebAdvisor from the home page (www.redwoods.edu) Log in to WebAdvisor Log in to WebAdvisor The first time you log on… • You will be told that your password has expired. Please change your password from your six digit birth date at this time. Menu Options Choose the Faculty menu Grant Permission It’s easy beezy! This must be entered EXACTLY …If it’s not entered correctly the permission to add will not work. Student now has permission to register. You have granted permission to register for your class even though the class has started. I know many of you teach one class after another, so I would urge to you to tell students when you would be finishing this process so they know when they can use WebAdvisor to add your class. (“I am teaching until 4:15 today, I will grant permission to add this class by 5:00. You may register after that time.”) Students still must register! • Students must log on to their WebAdvisor account – Select the Student Menu – Choose “Manage my waitlist”. – The waitlist status will have changed to “Permission to Register.” – Student selects “Register” and s/he will be registered for the class. – Students now must pay for the class. Permission Deadline Permission ends in five days but please tell students to register ASAP.
