Our programs promote diversity and the application of collaborative learning, problem solving, critical thinking and transfer education. All of our courses contribute to the vitality and life‐long wellness of the community. Our department is fully engaged in documenting assessment for all courses and collaborating on continual course improvements. 1.3.2 Program highlights/accomplishments: Some of the previous year’s highlights include: ‐ Community outreach through CPR certification, health seminar at local businesses, recruitment of local high school students, assist with literacy programs at local schools and hosting youth activity wellness events. ‐ Academics/curricular within the college: academic progress reports, new tutorial sessions, wellness assessments that show measurable fitness level improvements and 25% of student athletes on fall 2012 honor roll. 11. cHealth,PE,Athletics Program Review final.docx 4/5/2013 Page 1 Section 2 ‐ Data Analysis 2.1 Enrollment & Fill Rate Review and interpret data by clicking here or going to: http://www.redwoods.edu/District/IR/Program_Select.asp Select your program and click on: Enrollments & fill rates Comment if checked: Heath Ed enrollment increased, Physical Education activity courses remained stable with the exception Enrollment x of PE 12A which showed a decline. The suspension of two intercollegiate teams has also adversely affected Physical Education enrollments. Comment if checked: Heath Ed fill rates consistently high at 80%. Physical Ed did see a decline. PE fill rates are affected by Fill Rate x high cap numbers for intercollegiate courses. Once accreditation status allows for re‐activation it is critical that the district follows through with these board approved projects to reach our program plans for current and future years. Program Information: Noted that no degrees or certificates are currently offered, but CR offers all coursework that would be needed. S.2. Data Analysis: Good and concise evaluation of data. Narrative is consistent and includes anecdotal information. Satisfactory. S.3. Critical Reflection of Assessment Activities: All active courses are included in the two‐year assessment plan. Assessments in progress and will be completed in spring (PE 21 and 25). Assessment activities have increased collaboration of faculty to revise and update curriculum and improved teaching modalities. PRC suggests, regarding item 3.0.3, it would be helpful to indicate why health ed SLO assessment led to an increase in student success. Satisfactory S.4.
