SYLLABUS FOR EXAMINATION :General Science ( 10 Questions):
I.
Questions will be aimed at testing the candidates' General Awareness of the
environment around him. Question will also be designed to test knowledge of
basic science studied upto io" Standard and would include such matters of every
day observations and experience as may be expected of any educated person.

Quantitative Aptitute (10 Questions):
The candidate will be tested for general mathematics of upto 10th Standard
involving number systems, equation on two variables, simple and compound
interest, perimeter, are and volume of geometrical figures, direct and inverse
proportions, Pythagoras thermo and trigonometry.
Ill.
NCVT Trade (80 Questions):
Questions would be from the NCVT Syllabus of relevant trade.
IV.
Trade test:
The Syllabus for Trade test(Practical) will be as per Trade test Specification of
the Semi-Skilled grade of the relevant trade. Viva-voce, if any, considered
necessary to test the skill of the candidate being considered for recruitment, will
essentially form part of trade test. Trade test will be merely qualifying in nature.
It will not decide the merit of the selected candidates. The merit will be decided
solely based on the results of the written examination. The candidates who fail
the Trade test would not be considered for recruitment, irrespective of marks
scored by them in the written examination. No. of candidates to be called for
trade test would be 1.25 times the number of vacancies in each tra~e..

In the selection process, other things being equal i.e. marks being equal, trained Ex-trade
Apprentices of MPF and Sister Ordnance Factories shall be given preference in the order in
which they are stated.

APPLICATION FEE:- An application fee of Rs.SO/- to be paid through Indian Postal
Order/Demand Draft only in favour of The General Manager, Machine Tool Prototype Factory,
Ambernath-421 205. No fee will be charged from SC, ST, PH and Ex-Serviceman. SC, ST, PH and
Ex-serviceman need not send any Indian Postal OrderlDemand Draft.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP THE APPLICATION FORM:
Applications should be submitted on plain paper(A4-size) duly typed or neatly hand written in
Hindi/English in Block Capital letters as per the enclosed proforma. Newspaper cutting should
not be used as application form.

Applications received without the prescribed application format will be summarily rejected.
All the information furnished in the application regarding name, 'age, educational qualifications,
NCVT certificate, Caste certificate, residence proof, etc should -be supported by relevant
certificates/testimonials in relevant format. OBC applications without "Non-Creamy Layer"
certificate will be rejected.
All the documents attached should be legible and should be self-attested by the applicant.
Physical Disability certificate, if any, should be issued by Medical Board duly constituted 'by the
Central/State Government at the district level only will be acceptable.

6) Ex-Servicemen certificates & Discharge Certificates should have been issued by the Competent
Authorities. Please note that persons who have dismissed or removed from service are not
entitled for relaxation available to Ex-Servicemen.
7) Applications not signed by the candidates will be rejected.
8) Applications with over writing/cutting will be rejected.
9) Incomplete applications will be rejected.
10) Applicants who wish to be considered against vacancies reserved/or seek age-relaxation must
submit requisite certificate from the competent authority, in the prescribed format. Otherwise,
their applications will be rejected. The formats of the certificates are annexed. Certificates
obtained in any other format will not be accepted. Candidates claiming OBC status may note
that certificate of non-creamy layer status should have been attached.
11) One passport size photograph (not more than 3 months old) duly signed by applicant should be
pasted on top of the application at the place provided(do not staple). The signature on the
photograph should be made in such a way that the first half of the signature is done on
photograph and the other half is done on the application form. Three additional identical
photographs should also be enclosed along with the application form with name and selfattested on the back side.

12) One envelope should contain one application only. Envelope must be superscribed as
'APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF -"Name of the post" '. Applications may be rejected if
not superscribed as above.

OTHER INSTRUCTIONS:I) Candidates appearing for written/trade test will travel on their own expenses.
2) The Ex-Trade Apprentices of Ordnance Factories would also be required to apply and submit
the application in the given format.
3) The candidates including Ex-TA of MPF, who are already employed in Central/State
Govt./Semi Govt. Deptt.lPSUs etc. must specifically mention the details of the employment and
should produce an NOC pertaining to release in case of selection, from their employers before
applying for any post.
4) The candidature of the candidate may be cancelled, if he/she submits more than' o~e application
form for a trade. Candidates with requisite qualifications in the trade of Machinist,' Fitter &
Turner may apply either in their respective trade or in the Examiner trade .but not both.
Similarly, Candidates with requisite qualifications in the trade ofMachinistmayapply
either in
his/her respective trade or in the examiner/miller/Borer/Jig Borer trade but not in more than one
trade.

essential qualification on final scrutiny.
