This logging sheet is designed to help you track your volunteering activities and hours.
Why?



Gain recognition for your volunteering efforts. This includes time spent travelling to your
activity, planning lessons/activities, creating resources, attending training courses and volunteer
meetings for the project you have volunteered on.
Receive a Warwick Volunteers certificate if you complete 20 or more hours of volunteering
with Warwick Volunteers this academic year.
If you are an Undergraduate you can choose to have your receipt of a Warwick Volunteers
certificate recorded on your HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Report). The HEAR is an
electronic document and gives undergraduate students a fuller record of their achievements
such as volunteering.
Expenses
If you are volunteering for an activity organised by Warwick Volunteers -with the exception of public
transport costs within Coventry and Leamington, you must get prior authorisation for expenses. We can
pay mileage from campus to your volunteering activity if you use your own car. You need to check first
with your insurer that you are covered for volunteering and ensure your car is in a roadworthy condition.
In order to claim expenses, you need to retain all tickets/receipts and fill in an expenses form which is
available in the office or on our website.
Taxi fares will not be reimbursed. There are some limited circumstances in which a member of Warwick
Volunteers staff can arrange taxi transport to a project. Please speak to a member of staff for more
details.
