Applications are invited upto 18.05.2016 for the following posts purely temporary and on adhoc basis for
period of six months to work under DST funded project entitled “Using Intervention Mapping to design
programme to accelerate Mass Drug Administration compliance in areas with persistent Lymphatic filariasis
transmission in India”.
(1) PROJECT ASSISTANT – 01 POST (UNRESERVED) AT SURAT (GUJARAT)

a. Essential
:
(i) Graduate degree in any Social Science (Sociology/ Psychology/
Social Work/Anthropology/Economics/Political Science) from a
recognized university.
(ii) Spoken and Written knowledge of Gujarthi & Hindi language
b. Desirable
:
(i) MSW, M.A (Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology)
(ii) Experience in collection of data using questionnaires
c. Nature of Duties
:
Quantitative data collection using questionnaires and
Qualitative data collection.
d. Age limit
:
Not exceeding 30 years as on the last date of receipt of application.
e. Consolidated Salary
:
Rs.25,000/- per month.

Age relaxation is applicable only to the post under reserved category, as per Govt. of India norms.
Qualification and experience should be from an organization of repute.
Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee for the selection.
Person already in regular time scale service under any Government Department/Organizations are
not eligible to apply.
5. Candidates fulfilling the above qualifications and willing to apply for the posts can download the
application from the VCRC website (www.vcrc.res.in) and submit the same on or before
18.05.2016 to the Director, Vector Control Research Centre, Medical Complex, Indira Nagar,
Puducherry-605 006.
6. Self Attested copies of certificate in proof of Date of birth, Educational Qualification (Certificate/
Statement of marks), Experience as mentioned under essential qualification and Community certificate
(SC/ST/ OBC) must be enclosed with the application.
7. The selection to the post will be made by written test only. No travelling allowance will be paid to
the candidate for appearing written test.
8. The selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointments in any ICMR Institutes/Centres for
continuation of his/her services in any other project.
9. Incomplete applications and the applications received after the last date will be rejected.
10. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidate or bringing political or other outside influence with
regard to selection shall be a disqualification and such candidates will not be entertained.
11. The decision of the Director, VCRC, Puducherry is final in this regard.
