Dear Candidates for Graduation,
Congratulations! Your hard work, dedication and commitment to scholarship do not go
without notice. As you round out the semester and begin to make plans for the
Convocation Commencement Exercises scheduled for Friday May 9, 2014 (Graduate
Students) and Saturday, May 10, 2014 (Undergraduate Students), please note that
a few changes have been implemented. These changes assist us in ensuring the safety
of our students and their guests while allowing as many people as possible to witness
one of the University's most sacred and special events. Please carefully review the
information about admission tickets as well as the adjusted commencement schedule.
Tickets
Each graduating candidate will be allocated 10 tickets for friends, family, and other
guests. These tickets are required for admission into the William "Billy" J. Nicks, Sr.
Fieldhouse.

Tickets are required for each guest. Tickets are limited due to building capacity
restrictions.
All tickets are "General Admission." There is no reserved seating.
If a graduate is not approved to graduate, the tickets MUST BE RETURNED to
their College upon status of graduation notification.
Selling commencement tickets is prohibited. They are free and are not for profit.
Children (12 months of age and under) who sit in a lap during the entire
ceremony do not require a ticket.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early to find parking and seating. All guests
must be seated at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.
If a student needs more than 10 tickets they can freely negotiate with a
fellow graduate who may not use their allotment of tickets; however, the
tickets must be used for the same Commencement time.
Please make arrangements to distribute your tickets before the graduation.
Do not wait and distribute tickets in front of the Baby Dome doors.
Tickets will be distributed through each College and School to ~raduates who have
been certified to participate in the ceremony the week of April 14 h - April 17th. Each
candidate is responsible for attending the announced meetings. Please review the chart
for the information for your college:
