To provide students with a foundation in the processes and institutions of the global economy. To introduce students to the analytical methodology of economics and finance.

Principles to solve new problems. That is, students will apply tools and techniques developed from theory to realworld situations and cases to derive meaningful results and conclusions.

In Fall of 2014 90.5% of finance majors with a concentration in business got 40% or higher on the final exam. In Spring of 2015 90.0% of finance majors with a concentration in business got 40% or higher on the final exam. Overall 90.24% of finance majors with a concentration in business got 40% or higher on the final exam. The goal was met.
