The Equality Challenge Unit have launched a
pilot scheme for a Gender Equity Charter
Mark which is based on Athena principles but
is open to all non-STEMM subjects. Two
departments at Warwick (Warwick Business
School (WBS) and History) submitted
requests to take part in the pilot. WBS were
successful.
WBS is taking part in the pilot scheme of
the Gender Equity Charter Mark and will
submit for an award in April 2014.

to realising the potential of researchers,

Under public sector equality schemes,
employers are required to monitor
equality and diversity indicators for their
researchers. This section focuses on the
co-ordination and enhancement of
existing information collection and not on
the creation of additional data. There is a
strong presumption that in implementing
the Concordat, significant emphasis will
be placed on the use of existing data and
information sources and on the sharing of
good practice between institutions and to
provide evidence of its impact.
