This should be achieved on the basis of a transparent equal opportunity policy at recruitment and at all subsequent career stages. Events such as 'antibullying' will be held to raise awareness that bullying is unacceptable and that there are processes in place to deal with such cases. 2014 VC/PVC/Athena SWAN Champions – both at institutional and departmental levels Heads of Departments The University has achieved a Silver Athena Award in September 2013, making it the fourth institution to hold the award. In 2012 Warwick Medical School hosted an event for other medical schools to share best practice. A dedicated Athena SWAN Project Officer was employed in 2012 for a 12 month period to progress University and departmental submissions April 2014 The Department of Physics was the first Department (with Imperial College London) to be awarded the Institute of Physics JUNO Champion Award. This award was renewed in January 2014. The signatories recognise the value of innovation in practices and of sharing practice between institutions and aim to promote these throughout the implementation and review process. It is expected that Vitae, the national programme dedicated to realising the potential of researchers, funded by the Research Councils, will play a major role in innovating, sharing practice and enhancing the capability of the sector to implement aspects of the Concordat, as well as establishing strategic partnerships between funders. Under public sector equality schemes, employers are required to monitor equality and diversity indicators for their researchers. This section focuses on the co-ordination and enhancement of existing information collection and not on the creation of additional data. There is a strong presumption that in implementing the Concordat, significant emphasis will be placed on the use of existing data and information sources and on the sharing of good practice between institutions and to provide evidence of its impact.
