Cyrille L. Magne Psychology Distinguished Research Award Cyrille Magne earned a B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology, an M.S. in Neuroscience, and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Paul Cézanne University (France). He also completed a two-year post-doctoral research fellowship at the Center for Complex Systems and Brain Sciences at Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Magne’s research interests focus on the neural correlates of speech perception, reading acquisition, and the influence of music training on language processing. He has published twenty-nine peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. His publications can be found in highlyranked neuroscience and psychology journals including the Cerebral Cortex, Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience, NeuroImage, Trends in Cognitive Sciences, Frontiers in Psychology and PLoS One. Dr. Magne is currently the Principle Investigator of a grant from the National Science Foundation aimed at investigating how linguistic rhythm affects the understanding of both structure and meaning of written text in English.
