Professional Standards Committee Minutes
November 20, 2003
Members present: Breitenbach, Hands, Riegsecker, Rowland, Stirling (chair), Weisz
Meeting called to order at 9:35. The minutes of November 13, 2003 were approved after
a minor editing change.
The committee began a discussion of the Breitenbach/Owens draft of a memo to chairs
and department heads outlining how departments might proceed in reviewing their
departmental standards and guidelines in light of recent Faculty Code changes.
The committee discussed a proposed Faculty Code amendment paralleling the
committee’s interpretation of Chapter II, Section 4 — Reappointment.
The meeting adjourned at 10:30.
