Minutes of the Professional Standards Committee
September 13, 1999
Present: Nancy Bristow, Alva Butcher, Terry Cooney, John Hansen, Bruce Mann, Betty Ragan,Don
Share, Sarah Sloane.
The meeting was convened at 9:04am by John Hansen.
It was agreed that our committee will meet every Monday at 9am.
Bruce Mann was unanimously elected Chair of PSC for the 1999-2000 academic year.
Terry Cooney reported that all personnel matters from last year have been resolved.
John Hansen reported that the only continuing business is the continuing review of departmental
statements of standards and criteria for evaluation.
Nancy Bristow reminded us to pick up the topic of the role of student evaluation of teaching in the report
forwarded by Keith Maxwell and members of his ad hoc committee on the student evaluation form.
The committee picked up the topic of departmental criteria for evaluation.
The meeting was adjourned at 10am.
