COURSE DESCRIPTION ENGLISH COURSE DESCRIPTION ARABIC COURSE DESCRIPTION The main goal of this course is to expand and consolidate the theoretical knowledge gained by studying the information studies course, and consequently they gain practical knowledge and information from training in libraries. Students will have practice in different Information institutions including academics libraries, specialized libraries, public libraries and resource learning centers. They may apply, in the real world, what they have learned during four years of their study in the department of Information studies. The course also aims to teach students how to be self-confident when they face problems in their practical life. This course requires training supervisor. 3. COURSE AIM This course aims to familiarize students with the real work environment in information institutions, and to enable them to practice the administrative work in information institutions. 4. COURSE OBJECTIVES The objectives of this course are: Enable students to practice the real work environment. Acquaint students with avenues of professional services (Information services). Help students to become familiar with internal environment and culture habit of appropriate institutions Help students to Communicate effectively in intercultural work environment 5. COURSE RULES Attendance Attendance at class is mandatory. Course Instructors should keep attendance records. An "absentee warning notice" will be issued if a student is absent for: • More than 10% in courses with less than 75 total contact hours. • More than 5% in courses with 75 or more total contact hours. An "absentee withdrawal notice" will be issued and the student will be deemed to have withdrawn from the course with an 'FW' grade if a student is absent for: • More than 20% in courses with less than 75 total contact hours. • More than 15% in courses with 75 to 150 total contact hours. • More than 10% of total contact hours for courses with more than 150 total contact hours. 10.
