ARABIC COURSE DESCRIPTION 3. COURSE AIM The main objective is to provide students with the scales of cataloguing Non Book media by application of MARC ,RDA and Metadata tags . 2 4. COURSE OBJECTIVES Potentials expected to be acquired by attendants :1. acquaintance of all information resources with special stress on the non-book resources ; importance , uses , users , 2 - knowledge of how to build collections of non-book information materials ; organization and availability considerations 3- preparation of the bibliographic records on non-book media 4- Acquaintance of MARC ; components , fields of records , applications 5- Non-book media on OPAC ; availability and use of research interfaces of the system. 6- Websites of pictures , maps , musicalsheet , and the possibility of using it as reference services. 7- Cataloging approaches other than the Anglo-American , FRBR , RDA , Dublincore Metadata. 8- Provide students with skills of cataloguing Non Book media . 9- Identify concept of new trend of information harvesting. 10- Developing skills of using Metadata tags . 5.
