Note: Transfer Regulation 1- After transfer, only some credits will be counted towards the student's new degree plan. Other credit hours may not be taken into account and may lead to a delay in graduation of one or more semesters. Students should bear in mind that conflicts in their timetable may arise due to transfer and that they will be responsible for dealing with them. 2- The earning of 14 credits in each semester should be only considered after the student completes the FP. 3- Transfer to the College of Medicine and Health Sciences is not allowed for students of brotherly and friendly countries, and non-Omani staff children. For Students of the GCC, transfer to the college is allowed if there are scholarships available for that Cohort and Member State. 3- Applicant transferring from Government Higher Educational Institutions must provide a ‘No Objection’ letter from the institution they are studying at, and for those under scholarships, must provide a ‘No Objection’ letter from their sponsor. Transfer to SQU: 4- Applicants should complete a minimum of 60 credits from their degree programme and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 for all colleges excluding the College of Medicine and Health Sciences which requires a cumulative GPA of 3.50. Students must take the majority of courses normally offered in the final semesters of degree plans at Squad should fulfill the following: 5- If the cumulative GPA of applicants is identical, priority will be given to those who have the highest percentage in the General Education Diploma. 6- The Applicant should not exceed one year drop-out from his/her current college. 3- Students should pass English level 6 or its equivalent if they plan to transfer to any English-medium or bilingual program. 4- Students who wish to transfer to a program should satisfy the FP courses that are pre-requisites for the degree plan courses relevant to the college transferred 5- Students must consider the remaining duration of study at SQU when applying for transfer and should not exceed the maximum allowable duration as per the rules detailed under D5. Duration of Studies. 1- Applicants must be Omani citizens and should not exceed 25 years of age. 2- The Higher Educational Institution must be recognized. Detailed information about English proficiency requirement can be found at the Admission & Registration website. 10- Students should either provide a certificate of completion for the foundation program, or present evidence that the foundation syllabus has been covered in their previous program. 9- The courses that are transferred should be passed with a minimum of grade ‘C’ or its equivalent. 8- Transferred applicants may be granted credit half of the requirements of the program to which they are accepted in SQU. 7- Students will be admitted to the college and not a specific major. Admission in a given major will depend on the student's ability to fulfill the designated pre-requisite courses. 2- After all college transfer criteria are met, there will be a further skills/aptitude test before being accepted in Physical Education, Art Education, and Music and Musical Science. 1- Students should complete the foundation programme before applying for transfer. 8- Approval for transfer depends on the number of available seats in the college. Students will not be transferred if seats are unavailable even if all transfer requirements are fulfilled. Transfer between Colleges in SQU: Students who were initially admitted and registered in a given College or Major program, should submit their application for transfer to another College or to a different program within their College. The number of available places in each College will be announced annually during Fall and Spring Semesters, and should not be more than 5% of the number of students admitted in that year. For transfer, the following conditions apply: 7- Transfer between majors takes place within the college itself. 6- Students are not allowed to transfer more than once so they are only permitted to select one transfer choice on the transfer form.
