1. ODS: Dawne and Kurt are administrators
a. Training for Cognos went really well. Continue working on
framework manager to get data ready for HR and finance.
2. Nolij: Kelly is the administrator (Julie is helping with general
person)
a. Helpdesk is going to work on Kelly’s PC. Kurt mentioned
we might could set this up on a virtual PC and people
would attach to it instead. Kelly will need to install it on
the S Shepler computers.
b. Progress on transferring general person from legacy to
Banner. We need to test it.
c. Update on transferring admission history. Paul Patrick
said they did dual entry.
3. e-Print: Greg, Chase and Kurt are the administrators
a. We need the list of what reports will be in e-Print to
determine participants. Greg has the repository set up
and is working on job submission. ILT can look at the
canned reports now to see which they would like
included. These are for people to see that would not have
INB capability to run the report.
4. E-Vision: Rick and Cheryl are the administrators
a. Status on intellecheck and FormFusion. Cheryl has been

doing some reading and Rick has done some testing on
the PO and intellecheck. He’s waiting on Ninette to order
the stock forms for the checks. Greg made some changes
to make printers work with it.
b. We have the transcript template from UCO and Rick is
going to look at installing it. It won’t be needed until
August.
c. We may need FormFusion for the class schedule or the
bill but it hasn’t been identified for sure.
AppWorx: Greg and Chase are the Administrators
a. Training this week. This is a scheduler and end users can
use it. Training is for Greg and Chase but one day will
need to include the other IT folk.
Workflow: Greg and Rick are the administrators
a. Training next week for Greg and Rick. Sherry will find out
who needs to be trained from ILT.
Luminis: Julie is the administrator
a. Luminis team is meeting, working on policies, the design,
and finalizing content. The production install is this week
which will allow the team to begin putting finalized content
on the production box to have it ready for the load test.
Update on interfaces/extracts – none at this time
a. Early Alert: 9/10/10
b. Blackboard Connect-Ed: 8/15/10

e. Clean Address for HR, FI, AD & FA: 2/1/10

h. Directory Labels: 1/15/10 – needs moved up to
November. Looking at using Cognos or continuing the
Access DB for the access. If we use access, there won’t
be any change to the user. Cognos would be on ODS and
would be old data. If we go with Cognos, we might need
to refresh the HR data more often in August or peak
periods.

10. Patches/Upgrades
a. Integration components 8.0.1 (Carlos recommended)
upgrade
i. Luminis and FA
ii. Chase will be working on this.
b. Need to install all of the patches before we go live. On
Oct 5 talk to Laurene about this.
c. Luminis is on latest version.
11. 11/16/09 will be last day for data cleanup for ALL modules.
Mike is supposed to be getting some go live detail info to
Sherry as soon as possible. IT needs to make a decision on
when copies from sunfire to sunray and provide this to the
ILT. Advancement may have to be moved back to January
because Mike is saying he doesn’t have support to do it in
December. Sherry is waiting on more details.
12. Kelly: How many forms should the users have open at one
time? One of the ST users had 10 forms open at one time
during the CRP. Sandra says after 3 forms have been
opened, Banner may not save changes on forms 4, 5, 6, etc.
This is a global setting that needs to be discussed.
Chase: The value is set in form GUAINST. Our value is
NULL. Banner’s online help says:
Maximum number of Banner forms that can be open in a
session concurrently, due to memory considerations on the
client workstation. SunGard Higher Education generally
recommends that you set this field to NULL, since the
introduction of Internet-Native Banner greatly reduced the
potential for client-side memory issues.
SSB local versions
All of the consultants recommend watching how many forms
are open and this should be in the desk manuals. We’ll also
discuss this with Laurene on Oct 5.
Kelli Flynn is supposed to be deleting our localized versions and
fixing the broken graphics issue. She will be working this week
and we will be back to baseline with the exception of our own
modifications.

Julie started a Go-Live Checklist document at w:\workgrps\its\banner
Please add to it so that we remember to do everything after each
conversion. This should be our checklist of things that must be done after
the conversion scripts but before we let the users in for testing.

SSB is still being looked at. Doreen is looking at the broken graphics issue.
We have customized versions from 2003-2007 that need explained as to
why these are no longer baseline. Julie and Doreen are working through the
issues. Doreen may be through this week.
