The office of the Assistant Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research in the College of Medicine
and Health Sciences is pleased to present to you the second edition of a compendium of the research
interests of the faculty, listed under each different department, along with e- mails and contact numbers of the appropriate staff.
Close collaboration between the different experts in different departments in any medical institution
has become necessary and vital in this era of interrelated subjects and eclectic research themes. For
obvious scientific reasons, single-handed research is not an option in today’s complicated scientific
settings.
This compendium is hoped to make all the faculty and staff in our college, university and others in
and outside Oman, aware of the research interests and the expertise available at the College of Medicine and Health Science. This will facilitate collaboration, reduce duplication and, in the end, aid research activity in the college.
