Maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA
Take Honors classes on a regular basis working toward
the thesis requirement
Must meet EVERY semester with advisor before
the posted deadline: Fall 2014: 10/8/2014
First, your goal is to earn 20 Honors hours of freshman and
sophomore classes before you complete your general
studies.
 Students who have earned six hours of Honors credit,
should take six or more in the spring
 Students who have earned nine hours of Honors, credit
should take three to six in the spring
 Students who have twelve to fifteen hours of Honors
credit should take at least three in the spring
If you will have less than
six hours of Honors credit
by the end of Fall 2014,
you may not qualify for
early registration unless
you register for NINE
hours in the spring.

 3 hours Honors Interdisciplinary Seminar—Required unless waived for Study
Abroad Credit or UH 4010 Institute of Leadership Excellence (summer course)
 3 hours upper-division Honors coursework
 1 hour Thesis Tutorial (UH 4900) recommended 2nd semester of junior year
 3 hours senior independent research or creative project (UH 4950)
(upper-division can be substituted for lower-division)

Receive Honors credit for a non-Honors upper-division
course (3000 and 4000 level) OR a 2000 level course that is never
offered (check with Laura Clippard if in doubt)



