General Transfer Criteria between Colleges:
1) Students should complete the foundation program before being transferred.
2) Transfer between majors takes place within the college itself.
3) After all college transfer criteria are met, there will be a further ability test before acceptance in Physical Education, Art Education, and Music and Musical Science.
4) Students should pass English level 6 or its equivalent if they plan to transfer to any English-medium and bilingual program.
5) A student who wishes to transfer to a program should satisfy the FP courses that are pre-requisites for the degree courses of the program.
6) Students must consider the remaining duration of study at SQU when applying for transfer and should not exceed the maximum allowable duration (refer to the academic
regulations).
7) Students are only permitted to select one transfer choice.
8) Students are allowed to transfer once only.
9) Approval for transfer depends on the number of available seats in the college. Students will not be transferred if seats are unavailable even if they have fulfilled all transfer
requirements.
Important notes:
1. After transfer, only credits that are equivalent to the student's new degree plan will be counted. Other credit hours may not be taken into account and that may lead to a delay in
graduation of one or more semesters. Students should bear in mind that conflicts in their timetable may arise due to transfer and that they will be responsible for dealing with
them.
2. A student who wishes to transfer to the College Medicine and Health Sciences (MD) and Biomedical Science, Nursing and College of Engineering can take PHYS2101 or
PHYS2107 without repeating them.
3. Transfer to the College of Medicine and Health Sciences is not allowed for scholarship students and staff children.
4. A transferred student must collect his / her new degree plan from the Asst. Dean and HOD of the new college as well as complete the transfer process and course equivalency.
5. A student can cancel a transfer after it has been announced.
6. Humanity colleges students are eligible to transfer to the scientific colleges even if they did not pass the level 6 in English and should submit a valid English Proficiency test
certificate: 500 points in the International TOEFL test or its equivalent OR Band 5 in the Academic IELTS test (with a minimum band of 4.5 in each skill: writing, speaking,
listening & reading) and pass the math for Science in English (0105).
7. A student is eligible to have two options when applying for transfer to college of education.
8. The Academic department will conduct an interview for student Appling for transfer to the college of education.
