For Immediate Release – Lawton, OK, April 9, 2007 Cameron faculty, students’ movies to screen Three films with a Cameron University connection will screen at the Bare Bones International Film Festival. The screenings will be held on April 28, at 4 p.m. at the Roxy Theater in Muskogee, Okla. “The Last Dive,” a narrative short by Cameron University Associate Professor of Communication Matt Jenkins, Ed.D., centers on Skipper Alvin Presley who awakes to discover his crew is missing and he’s trapped alone aboard his submerged submarine. Now the enemy has discovered him and begins depth charging. Is it possible that Presley’s wife can save him? Jenkin’s film has been nominated for “Best Short Film” at the festival. “Murder on Turnpike Road,” a fictional movie produced by Cameron University student Lacy Trogdon is the story of two women who buy a house to renovate. When they visit the house before moving in, they discover they are not alone. Trogdon is a junior at Cameron University majoring in communication with an emphasis in radio/television. Cameron University radio/television student Cameron Goss also has his short film, “Topper” premiering at the film festival. “Topper” is a four minute short comedy about a man trying to protect his antenna topper from the neighborhood thief. Goss is pursuing a career in filmmaking and acting. He has done numerous film projects, one of his films -more- Film Festival, ADD ONE won the Oklahoma Association for Environmental Education Excellence in Media Award. Jenkins, Trogdon and Goss will be available for interviews prior to and during the event. A reception will be held following the screenings.
