Cameron University hosts state art conference
Cameron University recently hosted the Fall 2005 Oklahoma Arts Education Association (OAEA)
conference. With the theme “Fear No Art,” the event drew more than 150 individuals to CU’s main campus
in Lawton from around Oklahoma.
The conference was highlighted by several workshops. CU professors were joined by area elementary and
secondary school teachers during these workshops to provide valuable information to the attendees.
Kathy Liontas-Warren, Edna McMillan, Elizabeth Tilak, Monica Linehan, and Benson Warren, all members
of CU’s art department presented workshops.
Betty Criscoe and Phil Lanasa from the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences also presented
workshops.
Judy Neale, Ph.D., Dean of the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences, received recognition for her
support of the conference and her participation in the Youth Arts Month.
