Cameron University Alumni Association
announces scholarship winners for 2004-2005
The Cameron University Alumni Association has selected four CU students to receive $1,000 scholarships
for the 2004-2005 academic year.
Students receiving the scholarships are Delois Byrd, a junior from Lawton majoring in elementary
education; Jenny Jackson, a junior from Frederick majoring in business marketing; Krista Lemley, a junior
from Lawton majoring in chemistry; and Anna Araujo Politano, a senior from Brazil majoring in journalism.
The alumni association has presented the scholarships annually since 1992. Applicants must be classified
as juniors or seniors during the term of the scholarship, maintain a full-time schedule, have a cumulative
grade point of 3.00 or high and demonstrate leadership qualities. A committee from the alumni association
reviews the applications to select finalists for interviews. The committee presents its recommendation to
the CUAA board of directors for final approval. Application deadline for the scholarship is March 1 each
year.
