Training
Applications are being accepted for Certified Athletic Trainers looking to pursue a
Master’s/Doctoral degree. The assistantship is for 2 or 3 years based upon the degree
being pursued.
Stipend and Benefits include: 10 month contract (Masters)/12 month contract
(Doctoral)
$7,500 stipend for Masters/$10,000 for Doctoral
Full tuition waiver
Monetary assistance for attending districts or nationals
Summer school option with certain qualifications
Duties: Primary responsibility will be providing Athletic Training services to the
student-athletes in a single secondary school setting. Those duties include the care and
prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation, and documentation of athletic injuries. Duties
should be limited to 20 hours/week. Opportunity to assist in CAATE accredited
undergraduate athletic training program at MTSU.
Requirements: BOC certified prior to start date
Must hold TN license prior to start date
Acceptance into MTSU Graduate school
